Covid-19 | Wilberforce Weekend

Covid-19 Policies and Procedures

The Colson Center for Christian Worldview takes the current pandemic seriously but believes we can still gather and worship safely.

We are carefully monitoring state and local regulations with regard to pandemic safety, and working closely with the Omni Fort Worth to ensure an enjoyable and safe experience. We will be following all local guidelines at Wilberforce Weekend. Here is an up-to-the-minute rundown of how we are approaching the event (if anything changes, we will update this page).

City and Venue

Currently, businesses and event venues in Fort Worth are permitted to operate at 100% capacity. Click here for more information directly from the city of Fort Worth.

Currently, the city of Fort Worth and state of Texas are not requiring masks to be worn at public events like this. You are welcome to wear masks and take whatever steps you deem necessary to keep yourself safe and healthy. We ask all attendees to respect one another in this regard.

The Omni Fort Worth is a CDC-certified Safe & Clean venue; click here to read more about what the hotel is doing to keep you safe during your stay.

Before Leaving Home

  • Follow instructions from your local government as far as health guidelines and travel restrictions.
  • Evaluate your own health and that of the people around you (contact us if you have concerns). If you feel sick within 14 days of the event, please stay home and contact us for a full ticket refund.

During the Event

We expect over 1,000 people at Wilberforce Weekend, and we will be following all safety regulations from state & local authorities during the conference. At the moment, masks are optional, and there are technically no imposed restrictions on the allowed capacity of the conference rooms at our venue. If you are not comfortable gathering with a crowd of this size, Wilberforce Weekend Online (available in June) may a more comfortable option.

As you might imagine, all local guidelines & regulations are subject to change as the event approaches — by registering for this event, you agree to follow the policies that are in place in Tarrant County during Wilberforce Weekend; this list might grow if those policies change (masks, having your temperature taken, social distancing, etc.). We can’t issue refunds because of unwillingness to comply with local regulations.

  • Contact us for a refund if you feel sick.
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, and avoid touching your nose and mouth.
  • You are absolutely welcome to wear a mask, and we ask that attendees respect each other in this regard.
  • If there are directional signs for traffic flow, please follow them.
  • Follow guidelines from local health authorities to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.
  • If you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days after returning home, please let us know.

Refund Policy

You can reserve your spot at Wilberforce risk free! Your hotel room and event tickets are 100% refundable up until April 23. If the event is canceled due to COVID-19 (or any other) issues, you’ll be issued a full refund. Also, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms within the 14 days leading up to the event, please contact us for a ticket refund.
